It’s that time of the week when the Kansas City Chiefs re-sign RB CJ Spiller. According to the Star’s Terez Paylor, Spiller is back a day after the Chiefs cut him.

He was cut hours before the Patriots game. Apparently he wasn’t going to play in the Patriots game anyway so they cut him which gives the Chiefs some flexibility with his contract down the road. I heard on the Star’s postgame Facebook Live that Spiller was in the locker room after the game so obviously he was always coming back.
I was surprised that the Chiefs weren’t going to play Spiller but I looked up at the last couple of box scores against the Patriots and only two backs were used. In most games only two backs are used. The Chiefs could end up using Spiller and West on a per week basis deciding who gives them the best matchup on that particular week.
