Let’s talk about some Week 1 NFL picks. Obviously, I picked the Chiefs to beat the Patriots as everyone expected. I wouldn’t even click on this link to my picks over at SB Nation because they probably made a mistake and said I picked the Patriots, which is obviously wrong. I always believed the Chiefs could beat Brady and the champs at home. Ahem...
If you’re doing a survivor pool, I like the Bills over the Jets or the Steelers over the Browns. Divisional games can always be weird though. I didn’t pick the Bears but I would love to see an upset over Atlanta and a city like Chicago go crazy for their football team again. I am also picking the Titans to beat the Raiders, who are very overhyped. Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Broncos host the Chargers on Monday night.
If you’re looking for picks against the spread, check out Bleeding Green Nation’s post.
Oops.
Picking against the Jets is a good survivor league strategy this year.
Tempted to pick Chicago due to the Super Bowl hangover.
Vontaze Burfict’s suspension makes this game safer for everyone.
Division rival on the road was enough for me to avoid this as a survivor league pick but Pittsburgh should win. It would be a bigger upset than the Chiefs win if they didn’t.
Lions are going to be really good this year. The Cardinals are a year too old.
Oh to see Blake Bortles light up the Texans.
A bunch of us are picking the Titans. The Raiders are overhyped.
I’m not in love with this pick.
Someone should be fired over their quarterback situation. Yikes.
Seahawks vs. Packers: Seahawks
Best game of the week (besides, well, you know).
The upset. I think the 49ers are going to be decent this year.
Zeke is playing.
Saints will put up like seven touchdowns to the Vikings six.
I want to pick the Chargers here. I think they’re better. But not in Denver on opening week.
