Uh-oh. I am officially worried. The Kansas City Chiefs brought out the cart for S Eric Berry after he went down with an injury. The Chiefs say he will not return with an Achilles injury. This is not good.
Berry has missed practices here and there over the past few years with a sore Achilles. He tore his ACL in 2011.
It initially looked like Berry had the same problem as Tyreek Hill — cramps. However, Berry stayed down. It looked like the Chiefs trainers were looking at his left leg. When the cart came out, we knew that wasn’t good. They don’t bring out a cart for cramps.
Berry has done a great job covering Rob Gronkowski tonight against the Patriots. If it is the worst and it is a serious Achilles injury, the Chiefs have some depth at safety with Ron Parker, Daniel Sorensen and Eric Murray.
Berry is the heart and soul of the Chiefs. His loss would be significant to say the least.
