Before the Chiefs-Patriots 2016 playoff game I asked who Bill Belichick would take away from the Chiefs. The story behind it being that one of Belichick’s now famous moves was realizing Marshall Faulk was the key to the Rams offense and doing what they could to take him out and derail the Greatest Show on Turf in the Super Bowl more than 15 years ago.
Before that playoff game, I focused on whether the Patriots would take away Jeremy Maclin or Travis Kelce. In this game, the question is the same but we’ll swap Maclin with Tyreek Hill.

I would take Kelce out if I’m the Patriots. At this point, Kelce is the key to the Chiefs offense. Tyreek is the guy that can help push them to another level but I think they could survive if Tyreek doesn’t have a big game.
I’m not sure how the Chiefs win this game if Kelce isn’t a major contributor. They will double him and bracket him and show him the respect he deserves. Andy Reid knows this so how will he adjust? How can the Chiefs take advantage of the extra attention on Kelce?
It won’t be a secret to Reid when Kelce is double covered so he’ll have a plan. What will it be? (I’m really asking because, shoot, I have no idea)
