Chiefs’ Travis Kelce pops up on the injury report for Patriots week

The first injury report of the year is in and there are no major surprises for the Kansas City Chiefs ... only minor ones.

The Chiefs listed TE Travis Kelce as a limited participant in practice with a calf injury. This is a little concerning because I didn’t know about a calf injury but he’s also only limited and the Chiefs aren’t sounding their usual warning signs that something serious could be wrong. Also, Kelce talked to the media on Monday and the Chiefs usually don’t have their injured guys talked to the media. So, good sign? Yeah, let’s go with that.

S Ron Parker also showed up on the injury report with an ankle but like Kelce he was limited. G Parker Ehinger and LB Reggie Ragland are both on there but also both dealing with known injuries.

On the good side, CB Terrance Mitchell is listed as a full participant. He had been out most of camp and the preseason with that injury so I was a little concerned about how healthy he would be. Well, I’m still a little concerned because the Chiefs will now be without CB Steven Nelson.
