Jamaal Charles donates $50k to Hurricane Harvey relief

Jamaal Charles is no longer a Chief and that’s painful. He’s a Bronco and that’s even more painful.

Despite that, we need to recognize Jamaal today for something good he’s doing. Jamaal and Seahawks safety Earl Thomas each donated $50,000 to Hurricane Harvey relief. They’re both from Texas.

Here’s their YouCaring.com page:

As everyone knows by now, the State of Texas has been ravaged by Hurricane Harvey. Harvey has left hundreds of thousands of people displaced and many have lost everything. Jamaal Charles and I (Earl Thomas) are from Port Arthur, TX and Orange, TX respectively and have seen our cities, families and friends devastated by this natural disaster. We are asking our family, friends, fans and anyone else that is able to help pitch in, so we can help our communities get back on their feet as soon as possible. All of the money raised will go directly to the families in the 409 for any and all items they may need from beds, diapers, formula, clothes, food, shelter, etc.

Note: Both Earl Thomas and Jamaal Charles have started out the giving by donating $50,000 each! #409Strong!

Jamaal, I don’t like that you’re in Denver but I respect this move.
