Justin Houston is sick, won’t practice for the Chiefs

We just noted that the Kansas City Chiefs are pretty healthy with Mitch Morse the only one not practicing on Wednesday. So of course the Chiefs add their best player to the injury report the next day. Justin Houston won’t practice on Thursday because he’s sick.

Unless he has the plague or something, I would expect him to be out there on Sunday when it counts until told otherwise. The flu isn’t going to knock Houston out so let’s hope it’s just something like that. (Perhaps he is like me and is good for a sick day from allergies when the seasons change. Perhaps he recently got strep like the 1.5-year old Heir To The Arrowhead Pride Empire just gave everyone in the house)

The Chiefs will need Houston this week. The Chargers have questions marks on the offensive line so Houston - or Dee Ford - should be able to get a few shots in on QB Philip Rivers.

Speaking of Dee Ford, he popped up on Wednesday’s practice report with a shoulder injury. He was limited so it could be nothing but it’s something to monitor.
