Kansas City Chiefs receivers Marcus Kemp and Seantavius Jones had good camps and Chiefs fans have wondered if either could make the 53-man roster at receiver. We have the answer to one of those: Marcus Kemp has been cut, according to the Star’s Terez Paylor.
It’s not shocking news because he was on the roster bubble but more than a few peopel thought he could make it after a strong preseason, including five catches for 55 yards in the preseason finale. He also played well on special teams so I bet Dave Toub would’ve taken him.
He’s surely a practice squad candidate so the Chiefs can keep him and continue developing him. He made some plays but he also has great size at 6’4 and 210 pounds. You’ll be seeing him again, I’m sure.
