Chiefs cut QB Joel Stave; good news for Tyler Bray?

The Kansas City Star’s Terez Paylor reports that the KC Chiefs have cut QB Joel Stave, which is not a surprise. The Chiefs are making their roster cuts today but have yet to confirm any.

Stave never really had a shot to make it. Maybe he did but he was always the fourth quarterback and it was hard to see him beating out Tyler Bray, who is more physically impressive and has been with the team longer.

Stave was 4/9 for 80 yards in two preseason games this year.

Speaking of Bray, this means he probably made it, right? I assumed that he would as the third quarterback but you never know when you get down to the third string.

Stave could end up being a practice squad candidate if the Chiefs want to keep a quarterback on there.
