The Kansas City Chiefs move to 2-0 with a 27-20 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs didn’t look great in this game but a win is a win.
What we learned in the Chiefs win ...
Kareem Hunt is special
Kareem the Dream followed up on his big performance last week with a 53-yard touchdown run to give the Chiefs the lead in the second half. Remember, he’s supposedly not a speed back.

Hunt had just five touches in the first half. The Eagles did a really good job of containing him. But you can only contain him for so long. He scored two second half touchdowns that pushed the Chiefs over the top.
This kid is special. Fantasy football is going to love him (they already do).
Final line: 104 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns.
Was it the Chiefs o-line or was it the Eagles front seven?
The Chiefs offense didn’t look very good for much of the game (about the first three quarters). Was that because the Eagles very good front seven won on this day? Or was this a signal of bigger problems for the Chiefs offense? It looked like happy feet Alex Smith came back but the pocket was also collapsing immediately.
This is a good reminder that protection is of upmost importance for the Chiefs. Whether it was Alex bailing early or the offensive line struggling or a combination of both, I can touch the Chiefs ceiling when their offense is playing like this.
Chris Jones gets hurt and picks off Wentz
The Chiefs defensive linemen had been getting their hands up and disrupting Carson Wentz passes in today’s game and after another tipped pass Chris Jones was in position to intercept the pass.

This is full spectrum from Jones, who was down earlier. I’m not sure what happened but he went down earlier and the Chiefs trainers and Andy Reid came out to check on him. I thought something was seriously wrong.
For good measure, Jones added two sacks in the game.
What a day for Kelce
He went over 100 yards receiving.
He had a personal foul in his third straight game.
He scored this amazing touchdown:

That’s why you deal with Kelce. His personal fouls are annoying but he is one of the two best tight ends in the NFL. I’m not sure there’s another tight end who can make that move. Can you think of one? I can’t.
Also, that shovel pass. We knew that was coming! Kelce had four of those last week.
Final line: eight catches for 103 yards and one touchdown
