Eagles vs. Chiefs Week 2 picks ...

Eagles 16 Chiefs 23

Andy Reid is 8-3 against his former assistants and that goes to 9-3 after this game. I felt like it was a little early for Pederson to become a head coach last year so in this game Big Red shows off his experience and the Chiefs take care of business. -Joel Thorman

Eagles 21 Chiefs 27

This will be the first big test of the year for the Chiefs offensive line. Last week, the Patriots were in nickel and dime personnel on 55/66 snaps I charted and blitzed a mere six times. The Eagles' front is much better and more aggressive. I don't expect the same offensive explosion as last week, but I do have the Chiefs scoring 27 points. We see a creative screen to Tyreek Hill this week that nets an explosive play. Carson Wentz flashed some great moments last week, but also had bouts of inconsistency that led to a turnover and a few missed opportunities. He repeats that trend, and that is the deciding factor on Sunday. -Kent Swanson

Eagles 17 Chiefs 31

I can't even remember what I said on the podcast, but I think this is pretty close. Andy Reid and the Chiefs have an extra three days to prepare for the Eagles, and you know that since it's Philly Andy won't let his team have a letdown after a huge win in New England. The Eagles have a scary defensive line, but their secondary is poor and they play a wildly aggressive form of defense that Andy and Alex should chew up. On defense, the Chiefs go from facing a team that's supposed to be the best offense in the NFL to a decidedly average offense. I think the hype train builds for another week. -Seth Keysor

Eagles 21 Chiefs 24

Last week was fun, but I think we see a more typical Chiefs game against Philly. They will score on defense and / or special teams, but the offense will return to Earth a bit. Alex Smith won't go over 300 yards, he'll throw an interception and the offense will struggle at times. Somehow, Kareem Hunt will still get 100 yards, Tyreek Hill will get a big play and Travis Kelce will be more involved. On defense, they'll give up some yards, and allow the Eagles to hang around but the Chiefs do just enough to win. -Matt Stagner

Eagles 3 Chiefs 31

I predicted the Chiefs would lose last week. So, without further ado, it’s makeup time!

With Eagles starting right cornerback Ronald Darby out, I think Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce are in for a field day. The most important thing in this game for me will be the Chiefs o-line holding up against a good Eagles front, and I expect that happens. On defense, Danny Sorensen steps up into his very big shoes to fill as the Chiefs roll at Arrowhead Stadium. Bonus: Eagles starting LT Jason Peters left last Sunday’s game with a groin injury. Dee Ford, where you at? -Pete Sweeney

Eagles 16 Chiefs 17

This game has me worried. I don't like that Doug Pederson is so familiar with Andy Reid. I don't like this game has come after a huge victory in New England. I don't like the Eagles front seven. I don't like when people chew gum loudly. I think this game goes down to the wire and the Chiefs win on a late field goal from Cairo Santos. Chiefs fans are brought back to reality with a less than stellar showing from Alex Smith. -Gary McKenzie
