After losing Eric Berry, the Kansas City Chiefs signed Steven Terrell who was with the team in camp and preseason before getting cut. The Chiefs also worked out another safety: Aaron Williams.

Williams was cut by the Bills in March after a couple of injury-plagued seasons. He just turned 27 in April and was reportedly contemplating his future after getting cut by the Bills. He has apparently decided he wants to play after working out for the Chiefs and other teams this offseason.
The Chiefs need to keep the names of a few safeties available because of potential injuries. They’re already down one starter and going down another one would be difficult to handle.
