AFC West standings: Chiefs, Raiders, Broncos share first place after one week

This should be familiar to you the rest of the season: The Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders are atop the AFC West standings. Both Oakland and Kansas City won this weekend and so did Denver so the Chiefs and Raiders share first place with the Broncos.

Chiefs beat Patriots, 42-27

The Chiefs had the biggest margin of victory in the AFC West this week. They also played the best team. So there.

Chiefs next four games: Eagles, at Chargers, Redskins, at Texans

Raiders beat Titans, 26-16

Marshawn Lynch only put up 76 rushing yards on 18 attempts but he did make a difference. He brought some energy to that team. Week 7 in Oakland on Thursday night is going to be electric.

Raiders next four games: Jets, at Redskins, at Broncos, Ravens

Broncos beat Chargers, 24-21

I didn’t stay up to watch the whole thing but the Chargers mounted a late comeback and kicked the game tying field goal ... only to be iced, forced to re-kick it and seeing the Broncos block that attempt at the end of the game.

Broncos next four games: Cowboys, at Bills, Raiders, Giants

Chargers next four games: Dolphins, Chiefs, Eagles, at Giants
