KC Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is favored by 4.5 points over his former offensive coordinator and quarterback Doug Pederson, the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Chiefs, of course, are coming off the biggest and most impressive win of the week when they hung 42 on New England to beat the defending champs at home. The Chiefs gained some respect - among the league and the oddsmakers - with that performance.
The Eagles beat up on Washington, 30-17. It will be fun to see Carson Wentz in person because I know Eagles fans have been head over heels with their future franchise quarterback. He put up 307 yards in Washington on 26/39 passing with two touchdowns and one interception. One of those touchdowns saw Wentz scramble out of the pocket, somehow avoid getting sacked and throwing a bomb to Nelson Agholor. Pretty impressive play.
The story line here will be Reid playing his former pupil in Pederson. If this game comes down to coaching, I’ll take Reid over Pederson every day of the week. As you’ll see in an article coming up later this morning, Reid does well against his former understudies.
