Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill’s 2017 stat predictions are tough to figure out

Kansas City ChiefsTyreek Hill was a revelation last year playing all over the field. He had 593 receiving yards, 267 rushing yards and 12 total touchdowns on offense and special teams. He was incredible to watch and has been given an even bigger role in 2017.

Does that bigger role mean he will put up bigger stats? In some areas, yes. In others, maybe not. Bovada released their props for various players in the 2017 season, including Tyreek Hill.

Here’s where they are on Tyreek’s over / under for 2017:

Receiving yards: 800

Rushing yards: 200

Total TDs: 6.5

I’ll go with OVER on receiving yards and UNDER on rushing yards. I don’t think he’ll go too much over those receiving yards, though. I’m not sure Tyreek immediately jumps to a 1,000-plus yard guy quite yet, especially with all the attention he should get this year. He’s still fairly raw compared to other receivers. He did have nearly 600 yards receiving last year while hardly playing early on and fewer than half the snaps on the season so I can see why others think he goes past 1,000.

The touchdowns are tough for me. I have no idea. I do not see him scoring 12 times again. He scored in so many ways that I just don’t see that happening again. He had six receiving touchdowns last year. I’m going to lean under just because they’re going to be focusing in on him so much and 12 seemed REALLY high last year. I know you’ll hate that prediction. I hope I’m wrong, too.
