Brandon Flowers thanks the Chiefs in retirement announcement

Brandon Flowers was part of the Kansas City Chiefs great 2008 draft class. Nine years later, he’s retiring. The former Kansas City Chiefs cornerback dropped an Instagram post announcing his retirement.

Just want to say thanks to the Hunt and Spanos family for allowing me to represent there franchises during my NFL career. Thanks to my family, friends, and fans that supported me throughout my career. Can't wait to move on to the things I have in place for me for this next chapter in my life

Flowers was one of my all-time favorite Chiefs. He was tough as hell at corner and wasn’t afraid to get out there and tackle. He was not a big guy so he needed that attitude to be successful. He did sign a second contract with the Chiefs but ended up going to the Chargers for three years.

Congrats on a great career.
