The 2017 Kansas City Chiefs: What could have been

Close your eyes for a moment, wait don't you need your eyes open to read this. Instead just imagine the following;

Quarterback Derek Carr steps up behind his center Rodney Hudson, he looks out over the defense and makes his pre-snap call. Carr makes some hand signals to his two wide receiver, two tight end offense. He settles in and snaps the football, Carr plants his back leg at the end of his three-step-drop and goes through his progressions; Antonio Brown is coming open along the boundary, Tyreek Hill is already open and gaining separation from the corner-back, over the middle Rob Gronkowski and Travis Kelce are muscling their way open from the linebackers and Le'Veon Bell is finishing his wheel route. It doesn't really matter which play-maker Carr chooses here, they all can get it done.

No, just in-case you were wondering (or assuming) this isn't a potential script of a Pro-Bowl play. This is what KC Chiefs fan's could be watching on the field this season. And no, I'm not making crazy trades via Madden here either. I've gone back and looked at each NFL Draft since 2010, I took the Chief's original draft order before trades and determined what I think would have been the best possible outcome for each draft class.

This isn't a complete team, but it is a listing of very impactful/good players that could have been on the 2017 KC Chiefs opening day roster. I listed the original selections, lined out if changed and bolded if the resulting pick was the original player or a different KC Chiefs player.

13 new KC Chiefs would be suiting up on Sundays (and Thursdays and Mondays this year). After adding additional pieces this team would potentially stand alone on top of the NFL. Again, that isn't a complete roster but one that would do severe damage. What do you think, which players would you have drafted if you had the chance?
