The Kansas City Chiefs probably won’t be making Derek Carr look silly forever as he’s actually a pretty good quarterback who will at some point in the future get the best of the Chiefs.
But that’s in the future. As for right now, the Chiefs own Carr and this graphic from Pro Football Focus does a nice job showing the context of just how bad he was against the Chiefs.
To see the Chiefs had Derek Carr's number last year would be an understatement pic.twitter.com/B4vtIdmCnw

There’s probably a little bit of luck here but not all of it. The Chiefs defense was really good last year and probably will be this year. The Chiefs caught a break when Raiders guard Kelechi Osemele was a late scratch in their Week 14 game but you can’t blame his second worst game of the season on a guard.
Carr readily acknowledges the Raiders shortcomings against the Chiefs last year.
“We know that what we need to do better, like I said, I’ve said it before many times leading up to camp, we didn’t even beat Kansas City twice last year,” Carr said during camp via Silver and Black Pride. “So I don’t know why everyone is so excited. We have a lot more work to do to be a better football team.”
