Haden has three more years left on his deal with a cap hit over $14 million this season. I do not think the Chiefs should make that trade (not that they asked). That is too much investment for the return you’d get. What I mean by that is the Chiefs defense is going to be pretty good whether you add Haden or not. Sure, he might make them better but not $14 million better.
Who knows, though? Chiefs GM Brett Veach pulled the trigger on the Reggie Ragland trade when I didn’t think he would.
