Former Chiefs linebacker (2003-2005) Shawn Barber joined us for the Arrowhead Pride Podcast this week to preview Chiefs-Seahawks and the topic of Bennie Logan and Dontari Poe came up.
It’s worth noting here that Barber has done scouting work for the Philadelphia Eagles (where Logan played from 2013 to 2016) and watched Poe as a Chiefs ambassador during Poe’s entire career in Kansas City (2012 to 2016).
I asked:
“I’m going to put you on the spot here: Who has the better year? Bennie Logan with the Chiefs or Dontari Poe with the Falcons?”
Barber answered:
“Oh, Bennie Logan,” Barber said. “That ain’t putting me on the spot at all. I thought you were going to ask something hard. I thought you were going to give me Bennie Logan versus Chris Jones, Dee Ford or Marcus Peters. To me, Bennie Logan is going to be our defensive MVP this year, and I think it’s not going to be close.”
Defensive MVP! For the full conversation, listen to the podcast.
