Here’s a weird story. The Hall of Fame ring of Will Shields has been stolen, according to this report from Fox 4 in Kansas City. There are no details right now on when or or how this happened. It’s the ring from his 2015 Pro Football Hall of Fame induction.
Details at this time are scant, but we do know that the Shields family was in Colorado, where the ring was taken.
“It’s frustrating, but my family is safe and that’s what’s most important. The work behind the ring is what stands and is important,” Shields said in a statement.
That’s awful. How is something like that even worth something now? Someone would try to sell it and someone buying it would know that it’s stolen. It’s one of those things where the person stealing it probably didn’t think this out. Sure, it’s great to have this expensive ring but you gotta find someone who would actually buy it.
Unless you’re just a really big Will Shields fan which ... well then why are you taking the man’s ring?
