Chiefs’ Kareem Hunt injured his ankle but he’s fine, more injury updates

The Kansas City Chiefs came out of Saturday’s night preseason win over the Cincinnati Bengals with a couple of minor injuries. None of them sound too serious but it’s still pretty early. Andy Reid updated the media after the game:

Kareem Hunt was the one I was wondering about because he had his ankle taped. He had 11 touches for 63 yards in his time in the game so I was pumped to see so much action out of him after he didn’t do much last week. Unfortunately, his time was cut a little short with this ankle injury. The upside is we saw more CJ Spiller.

As for Marcus Peters, saying his name and “injury” freaks me out. He’s up there with Travis Kelce and Alex Smith as the most important players on this team. After seeing the corner opposite of him getting worked tonight, the Chiefs can’t lose him.

Anthony Sherman, the guy who converted the Chiefs fourth down attempt, got hit. I’m assuming he should be good but we will see.
