Chris Conley’s diving grab is the play of the day at KC Chiefs training camp

We are not out at KC Chiefs training camp today - back on Monday! - so we’re following along with the tweets from on the scene in St. Joe. I saw several reports from camp talking about a Chris Conley diving grab that was the play of the day from camp.

KCTV-5’s Andrew Carter snagged video of the catch which you can see here:

That’s a tough catch! He catches the ball with his arms extended diving. He didn’t pull it into his body and then fall over. That’s a legitimate diving grab. You need pretty strong hands - and good hand-eye coordination - to extend like that on a full sprint and make the grab.

I’m getting a little more excited for Conley after watching him in the first preseason game. He had an 80-plus yard touchdown called back for pass interference but had a couple of other nice catches, including a back shoulder one and a slant.

Andy Reid said he had a knee contusion after the game but that must not have been a big deal if he’s practicing today at camp.
