There was talk shortly after the firing of GM John Dorsey that Andy Reid had pushed Dorsey out. That was all speculation and there hasn’t been any evidence to back that up. Instead, the evidence points to Chiefs owner Clark Hunt making the move. As the Chiefs search for a new GM, Clark is the one leading the charge, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
Further evidence Chiefs GM change spearheaded by ownership - Andy Reid had little to no role in interviewing process. Let by Hunt/Donovan

I doubt Reid is completely in the dark but he has stated repeatedly since he came to Kansas City that he is out of the personnel game. He does not want to be the coach / GM. More evidence of that is here in this tweet.
Now, is Reid completely in the dark? I doubt it. Even when the new GM is hired folks are going to look at Reid as the one running the show so I imagine he’s in the loop, especially if the Chiefs are going to promote Brett Veach from within. In that case, Reid has 10 years of working experience with him so he wouldn’t need to sit down in the interview anyway.
