Goodbye to Branden Albert! He is retiring.
#Jaguars OT Branden Albert has elected to retire. This is not a drill.

Branden Albert was one of two first round picks for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2008 NFL Draft. The other was Glenn Dorsey to give you an idea of how long ago that was. Albert was a regular starter for the Chiefs at tackle (not guard) for several years.
The Chiefs drafted Eric Fisher in 2013 which signaled that Albert’s time was coming to an end. He went to the Dolphins and then was traded to the Jaguars. Apparently he didn’t want to play for the Jaguars - or anyone else - because he is now retiring.
Best of luck to Branden Albert!
Here’s his goodbye letter where he thanks the Chiefs:
