Chiefs president Mark Donovan held a press conference this morning and the most interesting thing that came out of it was this:
#Chiefs have two one-year options left for camp in St Joe. @MDChiefs said decision for next year will happen within 3 weeks of camp ending.

That means that the Chiefs could be back in St. Joseph for training camp in 2018 and 2019. Frankly, I don’t see them changing things for either of those years, especially while Andy Reid is still coaching.
Reid has publicly said in the past how much he likes getting the players away from Kansas City and staying in the dorms as part of team building.
For what it’s worth, I’d personally like to see them hold camp in Kansas City at the Truman Sports Complex. Nothing against St. Joe, but the fans are here, and the facility is good.
That said, the Chiefs would likely need to add additional seating to their outdoor practice facility to accommodate fans if that were the case.
The Chiefs have held training camp at Missouri Western University since 2010.
