The Madden ratings for the 2017 first round draft class are out and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes is rated 76. I still play quite a bit of Madden after all these years so I’m aware of what a 76 means. For you, the non-Madden player, it’s a pretty average score for a first round pick. Deshaun Watson has the same rating for the Texans. The highest rated first rounder is Browns DE Myles Garrett while the lowest rated is Dolphins LB Charles Harris.
Mahomes won’t necessarily be the better Madden player. Maybe he’ll have a better deep ball but Alex is somewhat mobile on Madden and he is accurate. My offense in Madden looks an awful lot like Andy Reid’s with a lot of screens and short passes hoping Tyreek Hill can break one. (I still play with Jamaal Charles. I’m not ready to give him up)
Here’s the trailer for Madden 18.
