As someone who runs a blog, I LOVE the first day of Kansas City Chiefs training camp. It makes my life easier and settles my OCD when it comes to pictures. Why is that? Because from OTAs in June to training camp in July, I get no new pictures. The Chiefs are off and not doing anything in that time. So I end up using a lot of the same photos on our stories over and over again (or you find me going back to, like the 1990s for pictures).
On the first day of training camp, however, we get new pictures. I’m going to give you a sneak peek of the pictures to come and just dump them all in the photo gallery below.

Note the picture of Brett Veach talking to a couple members of the Chiefs coaching staff. That’s our first Brett Veach picture!
Also note Derrick Johnson on the field. He’s back and working out after rupturing his Achilles last December. I remember him sounding so confident about coming back all this offseason. So confident that I even started doubting he would return all the way. While he’s not completely 100 percent yet, he’s clearly on his way.
