The Kansas City Chiefs best wins from the 2016 season

I started doing a post on the Kansas City Chiefs best wins in the Andy Reid era and I couldn’t get through 2016. There were so many good wins last year that it deserves its own post.

Chargers 27 Chiefs 33 (OT)

September 11, 2016

This comeback really snuck up on me. I was watching the game from the Chiefs press box and it was late in the game before I realized, whoa, they could actually do this. It was 24-10 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Chiefs 20 Panthers 17

November 13, 2016

This is similar to the pick-two in that you may not have realized what was happening as you watched it. I didn’t think Marcus Peters pulled that ball out but it was indeed a fumble. The first of a stretch of unbelievable games for the Chiefs in the 2016 season.

Chiefs 30 Broncos 27 (OT)

November 27, 2016

This is one of the most bonkers games in recent memory that I can’t even describe it. It was crazier and more unbelievable than the Falcons game that followed.

Chiefs 29 Falcons 28

December 4, 2016

The pick-two might be the most memorable play of last season. Eric Berry taking it to the house as you suddenly realize, yes, it counts for two points and the Chiefs have the lead.

Raiders 13 Chiefs 21

December 8, 2016

In terms of most meaningful games, this game is it. The Chiefs put themselves in position to win the AFC West with this game. It had one of my favorite plays from last season which was Tyreek Hill taking on Marquette King.
