Marcus Peters is ranked No. 32 on the NFL’s top 100 list as voted on by players. The Kansas City Chiefs cornerback was No. 65 last year so this is a nice step up. And it’s well-deserved. As the segment on Peters said, only five players since 1960 have more picks in their first two years than Peters - and two of them are in the Hall of Fame.
A few quotes:
Steelers CB Coty Sensabaugh: “Peters out there in Kansas City he’s a ballhawk.”
Chargers CB Casey Heyward: “Marcus, if I didn’t have to put myself at No. 1 with ballhawking, I would probably put him at No. 1.”
Seahawks CB Richard Sherman: “Marcus Peters has been catching the ball like nobody’s business since he came into the league.”
Bears WR Markus Wheaton: “Somehow the ball always seems to fall in his lap. That’s definitely a sign of being a good corner.”
Here’s the rest of the Chiefs top 100 rankings so far. I believe we should be waiting on Travis Kelce.
32. Marcus Peters (65)
36. Tyreek Hill (n/a)
76. Justin Houston (26)
81. Alex Smith (81)
