The Kansas City Chiefs have had three OTAs in each of the past two weeks and this week they’ll have four practices. The Chiefs offseason schedule continues with an added focus this week after the release of Jeremy Maclin.
Who lines up in Maclin’s spot? Who gets elevated? Who has the most to gain from his release? These are all questions we’ve already started and will continue to look at as we go through this week’s OTAs, next week’s mandatory minicamp and then the start of training camp in August.
I’m also curious to hear from Andy Reid this week. Last week, he was a little testy with questions about which players were or weren’t in attendance at the voluntary practices. We can speculate all we want about why he was so testy - this came one day before the Chiefs cut Maclin - but we now have plenty of questions to ask Big Red.
