Well, this is weird. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is pretty reliable and he said that the Kansas City Chiefs were setting up an interview with ESPN’s Louis Riddick for their GM job. He even had a vague time - “next week”.
Apparently not, says Riddick himself.
The Kansas City Chiefs have not contacted me and there is no interview set up for this week. Source? Me.

Rapoport has been reporting for a while now and he doesn’t make things up. Maybe he got this wrong but this one just feels ... weird. Riddick himself here is saying though that there is no interview and there doesn’t appear to be any wiggle room there. I’m not sure how to harmonize the reports. Maybe the Chiefs reached out to a third party, so technically they did not reach out to Riddick? I don’t know. Maybe Rapoport just got it wrong.
Either way, we’ll be keeping an eye on this one. There is an Andy Reid connection so on the surface you can see where this make sense.
