Chiefs say Tyreek Hill will play more but how much more?

The top story line this offseason quickly went from Alex Smith-Patrick Mahomes to who in the heck will replace Jeremy Maclin in the Kansas City Chiefs offense.

The thinking is that Tyreek Hill will be that guy. Andy Reid even said he would take his position. I do believe that Tyreek will be replacing Maclin as the top playmaker but as far as playing every snap? That’s still hard to see Tyreek doing.

Last year, he played about 41 percent of the snaps but he still made a significant impact on offense and the return game. The Chiefs could use him on every snap this season and he may not make as big of an impact as he did last year. It’s not necessarily about the number of snaps as how he is used.

I have trust that Chiefs coach Andy Reid is going to get the most out of him once again but it’s not going to necessarily be him playing every snap. Tyreek’s snap count is something I’m going to be checking each week because I really don’t have a good sense of how many he will play.

40 percent again? 60 percent? 80? How many snaps will Tyreek play?
