Chris Jones doesn’t know how scary he can be, Chiefs teammate says

Chris Jones was a bit of a revelation last year for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a second round pick so there were certainly expectations but I didn’t expect to see flashes of dominance from Jones as a rookie.

Bennie Logan is his new pal on the defensive line after the Chiefs signed him to a free agent contract this offseason. Logan sounds like he knows the ceiling for Jones is very, very high.

“I always tell him every day you really don’t understand how scary you can be,” Logan said of Jones. “Chris being a young guy and everything he has a chance to be something special. I stay on him to push him and to peak. He did good things last year but for me personally that was good but I want him to be better He’s a guy that can really establish himself as a dominant defensive lineman in this league.”

Logan said he did know Chris Jones a little bit already because they worked out together in Baton Rouge a few years ago. And speaking of Louisiana, Logan has a connection with former LSU player Spencer Ware, who helped recruit Logan to the Chiefs.

“I talked to Spencer through my free agency, and he was telling me just the chemistry they have here, how tight they are, the family and just the scheme,” Logan said.

Let’s hope this Chiefs / LSU connection goes better than the last few.
