The Kansas City Chiefs will have their star defensive players back. According to ESPN’s Adam Teicher, Eric Berry, Justin Houston and Marcus Peters are in attendance and accounted for at Chiefs mandatory minicamp which begins today. They have not been at any of the Chiefs OTAs this offseason.
Well, I’m glad that they’re back. Given the choice of my team’s star players practicing with the team and not practicing with the team, I’m going to choose practicing with the team.
These were voluntary practices. They didn’t have to show up. Ultimately, I don’t have any doubts that Berry, Houston and Peters will be ready for the season so it didn’t bug me that much. (It did kinda bug me that even asking where they were was somehow a bad thing)
The Chiefs will have three days of minicamp practice this week and then they are off until training camp which typically starts in late July. The summer is just beginning for the Chiefs.
Update: Everyone was there
All 90 #Chiefs players on the roster were at minicamp today.
