Chiefs cut DB Julian Wilson as undrafted free agent signings loom

The Kansas City Chiefs may need to make room on their roster for their undrafted free agent signings and it appears they’ve started that process.

Per the NFL’s daily transactions report, the Chiefs cut defensive back Julian Wilson.

The Chiefs had Wilson on the roster last year and signed him to a contract after the season this year. He was a former track star so he had outstanding workout numbers which is likely what drew the Chiefs attention.

The Chiefs will have undrafted free agent signings coming in this weekend when the team gets together for its rookie minicamp. The NFLPA said the Chiefs had 73 players on the roster so once you add in the six draft picks that would leave room for 11 undrafted free agents. Well, 12 now. They have yet to announce those.
