The Kansas City Chiefs offseason schedule continues on Tuesday with our first set of OTAs. That stands for Organized Team Activity which is basically a practice. The Chiefs can now go offense vs. defense in practice but they don’t have pads on and there is no tackling. So it’s still not quite real football but it’s something.
The Chiefs have OTAs three days this week - Tuesday through Thursday. They’ll have another three OTAs net week, four more the week after that and then the three-day mandatory minicamp.
These practices are technically voluntary but the Chiefs should have close to full attendance. There could be an unknown contract situation bubbling where a player skips these OTAs. We saw that in LA with Aaron Donald this week so be skeptical of any big name players in contract years who are missing today (I can’t think of any off the top of my head).
Practice is from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. each day this week. Players will talk to the media after practice on Tuesday and Wednesday while Big Red will speak on Thursday.
