In moving to Kansas City, Terry will be reunited with former colleague John Dorsey, now the general manager of the Chiefs. Terry and Dorsey overlapped with the Packers from 2004-12, during which time Dorsey served as director of college scouting and eventually director of football operations.

Coach Michael Vick? Ex-Eagles, Jets QB talked about possibility with Andy Reid |

"I think spending so many years in that same regiment being a player, I could see myself doing it on the other side and being a coach, and being a good one at that," Vick said during an appearance on the Howard Eskin Podcast. "That would be my focus, that would be my primary goal -- to be the best coach that I could be, just like I tried to be the best player that I could be. And excitement is working with the kids.

A second NFL chance: Ex-Saint James focusing on future, not frustrating past |

“I was thinking football was over for me,” he said.

Kansas City had other plans.

The Chiefs, after finishing the regular season as the No. 2 seed in the AFC and earning a first-round bye, were ousted in the divisional round by the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Chiefs finished that game with 61 rushing yards and 166 passing yards, showing perhaps a need to upgrade the offensive line.

Derrick Fox, James’ agent, informed James in January he would be signing a second NFL contract, a one-year deal with Kansas City.

Dawson caught six passes for 74 yards against the Bills on Oct. 30, 1994, his fourth-best day in terms of yardage during a career that lasted four seasons. Dawson's best day as a pro came in that year's season finale, when he caught five balls for 101 yards and a touchdown against Houston.

Bills hire Lake Dawson as assistant director of college scouting | The Buffalo News

"Lake has worked hard," Beane said in a press release issued by the team. "He's had a heck of a career. He rose to a level of VP of Player Personnel. He's interviewed for multiple GM positions. To have a guy with his experience and leadership and high character ... we talked about that in the interview. What type of player are we looking for ... Lake understands that it is the guy on the field, but as the Assistant College Director, we're going to make sure our college scouts are working the background and the character on prospects."

Morgan, a life-long Sand Springs resident, has already seen a lot of success in the music business, writing anthems for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs and the annual Backwood’s Music Festival in Stroud, Okla., but Morgan is focusing on home this summer.

Chiefs roster bubble: The competition behind Marcus Peters at cornerback | Arrowhead Pride

The Kansas City Chiefs are getting crowded at cornerback. They have what I would call one sure thing in Marcus Peters and then a bunch of questions at the position. The good thing is that the Chiefs have a lot of bodies with some potential so you hope you hit on someone (like Terrance Mitchell).

Alex Smith knows the Chiefs are replacing him |

"There is a little similarity,'' Smith said while speaking at a community event on Wednesday. "I'm an older quarterback, and they drafted a kid that's coming in young and they're looking to develop.''
