The Kansas City Chiefs are seeing quite a bit of turnover in the front office this offseason. After losing Chris Ballard to the Colts for their GM job, it’s being reported the Chiefs are losing two more members of the front office: director of pro scouting Will Lewis and director of football administration Trip MacCracken.
Changes in KC front office, as Director of Football Administration Trip MacCracken & Director of Pro Scouting Will Lewis were not renewed.

The wording of this report suggests their contracts were not renewed rather than a dismissal. Lewis joined the Chiefs from Seattle when this regime came along in 2013 while MacCracken was actually a Pioli hire back in 2010. I can’t speculate why this happened or if there was anything wrong here. Both Lewis and MacCracken seem to be well-regarded so we’ll see where they catch on next.
Chiefs GM John Dorsey is entering his fifth year doing this. Despite the turnover, I still think he has this Chiefs front office humming to the point where they’re going to be successful.
