The Madden Curse used to be a thing but it’s not so much anymore. I bring that up because Patriots QB Tom Brady has been chosen as the cover athlete for the new edition of Madden.
The Chiefs of course play the Patriots in Week 1 which means if there IS a curse ... then the Chiefs could potentially benefit from it.
The last time the Chiefs opened the season against the Patriots safety Bernard Pollard flew into Brady’s leg and tore his ACL, the only missed season of his career (which ultimately led Matt Cassel coming to KC so who really got the curse here?).
