Chiefs biggest remaining need is cornerback ... agree or disagree?

Pro Football Focus has a nice piece out on the top remaining need for each team in the league and for the Kansas City Chiefs it’s cornerback. I would have also accepted inside linebacker here, too. PFF writes:

In a division with budding star QB Derek Carr and the multitude of offensive weapons the Raiders have, and Philip Rivers throwing to a healthy receiving corps that also added top-10 pick in Mike Williams, the Chiefs will have their hands full defending the pass. Doing so with uncertainty at cornerback could be a big detriment. While WR depth is an issue as is ILB, shoring up their CB depth is of the utmost importance.

I do believe the Chiefs are doing some projecting / hoping here with their cornerbacks They believe Terrance Mitchell is as good as he showed in a small sample size last year or they think Phillip Gaines can stay healthy or they think Leon McQuay can play the slot and move Steven Nelson outside or ... whatever it is, the Chiefs have a bunch of options at corner. The problem is that each option comes with plenty of questions. They’re not going to find another starter at this point in free agency (well, they did find Mitchell last November so).

The Chiefs can also hope that their pass rush gets revived this year. Justin Houston had one memorable game last year (Denver) and that was about it with his injury. The Chiefs could be hoping he’s healthy and ready to contribute all season long. At least they hope he is. If that’s the case, the Chiefs cornerbacks will be under a little less pressure. The other one is Chris Jones and even rookie Tanoh Kpassagnon who both offer some pass rush ability from the defensive line.
