Former Rutgers football star indicted for role in Elizabeth shooting |

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker and former Rutgers football star Khaseem Greene on Tuesday was indicted in connection with a shooting outside an Elizabeth nightclub last December.

Surveillance video shows Greene, 28, handing a gun to another man outside Allstar Night Club on Dec. 3, shortly before that man fired the gun into a crowd of people, according to court records. It was unclear whether anyone was injured.

The co-defendant, Jason C. Sanders, was arrested Dec. 30 and gave a voluntary statement admitting to the shooting and saying Greene had handed him the gun, the court records state.

Greene has been on the roster of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions and Chiefs over the last three years without earning a spot on their regular season rosters.
