The Kansas City Chiefs 2017 offseason schedule will start on April 17 with the first day of the offseason program. The NFL announced the offseason workout dates for every team, including the Chiefs, who have 10 OTAs and a mandatory minicamp.
The offseason workout program is broken up into three phases but none of them include full pads and tackling so it’s not quite real football. The Chiefs are a veteran team so I might say they don’t need OTAs as much as another team with a new head coach. Andy Reid may not agree with that. Coaches want more time with players, not less.
Here’s a look at the schedule. None of this stuff will be open to the public. Training camp will start some time in late July or early August and will be open to the public.
