Let’s take a look at the best players remaining on Dan Kadar’s list of the top 100 players in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Carl Lawson out of Auburn was mentioned as a third round pick and is rated as the top pass rusher left. Caleb Brantley out of Florida was arrested weeks before the draft so that could change how teams look at him. Dede Westbrook is another talented player listed that has some questions about his past. The Chiefs already got their back in Kareem Hunt but Oklahoma’s Samafe Perine was a running back mentioned often.
After the draft last night Chiefs GM John Dorsey said this: “What you’re sitting now, you’re starting to see runs at certain positions. I’m sure all the defensive lineman are gone. Most of the offensive lineman have gone.”
Keep that in mind when looking at some of these available players. The Chiefs have four picks on this day - two fifths and two sixths.
Do any of these players stand out to you?
