As they did with Gerald Hodges, the Kansas City Chiefs visited with free agent guard Andrew Tiller but let him leave the building without a contract. This reports comes via Terez Paylor of the KC Star.
Tiller was a former 49ers guard who became a free agent this year. As far as I can tell the only interest in him so far is the Chiefs (at least publicly).
The Chiefs don’t seem to have a major need at guard right now. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif got his long-term deal earlier this year while Parker Ehinger and Zach Fulton are on their rookie deals.
I figured the Chiefs would draft another late round guard this year to prepare for Fulton’s eventual exit. If it’s an experience thing, Fulton has Tiller beat by quite a bit.
Anyway, there’s no deal at this time. The Chiefs could be keeping tabs on these guys as the offseason goes.
