While everyone else was talking about their new high-paid free agents, the Kansas City Chiefs had just one tiny slimmer of news on the first day of free agency this year: ILB Gerald Hodges was visiting. He’s not a household name but that’s a player at a position of need so I was excited to see what happens.
Then nothing happened. He visited but nothing came of it. He was linked to the Vikings where he spent some time earlier in his career and now it’s being reported that he’s visiting the Seahawks on Wednesday. The Chiefs and Seahawks (and Packers) seem to like similar types of players so I’m not all that surprised.
If the Chiefs were going to sign him, they would’ve done it when he were in town. Maybe it was the money or maybe it was medical or something else but it didn’t work out. Whatever it was, Hodges’ free agent tour continues.
