According to a report from NFL insider Charles Robinson, the Eagles offered Logan a "sizable" extension during the 2016 season but the team’s starting defensive tackle turned it down. Jason Ashworth, who first reported Logan’s signing with Kansas City, also expressed this sentiment last week. Ashworth says he heard Logan turned down $9 million per year while Robinson says it was actually a little more than that.
Update: For the record, he responded to that report here.

Knile Davis’ role for the Pittsburgh Steelers will be two-fold in 2017 | Behind the Steel Curtain
To get more information on Davis, I reached out to Joel Thorman, editor of SB Nation’s Chiefs website Arrowhead Pride, to ask what he thought of Nile’s time with the team, and expectations in the black and gold. Here is what he had to say:
Ben Roethlisberger's return to Steelers keeps AFC hurdles in place | Arrowhead Addict
The Steelers were potentially facing a future without Big Ben immediately after the Super Bowl, when the starting quarterback intimated that he was considering retirement. The Steelers have plenty of talent on both sides of the ball without Roethlisberger, of course, but having to face Landry Jones versus Big Ben is a swap any defense will take. Unfortunately for everyone else, K.C. included, the Steelers are likely to have Roethlisberger back at the helm after he announced he’s "leaning toward" coming back for another year.
Terez Paylor’s mock draft gives Chiefs a quarterback | Arrowhead Pride
Terez says that if none of the top four quarterbacks - Mahomes, Mitchell Trubisky, Deshaun Watson, DeShone Kizer - are there, the Chiefs could trade down again. I’m generally in favor of trading down because it’s usually a good value but the Chiefs also have 10 picks already this year. Last year, they didn’t have a third round pick and traded back to collect more picks. This year they have four of the top 104 picks. Additionally, the Chiefs are a pretty good team. I’m not sure if they added more picks they would all make the roster.
Best-suited destination: A team that has a long-term need to fill at quarterback (such as the Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers, New York Jets, Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers and others) or a team with a looming financial decision at the position (such as the Buffalo Bills or Washington Redskins) could draft Mahomes as a provisional 2018 starter.
Bryan Witzmann plans to improve on first season with NFL's Kansas City Chiefs | New Richmond News
The 2014 graduate of South Dakota State University is an independent thinker. The postseason backpacking trip has become a yearly ritual. His plan is to backpack on all seven continents. With his trip to Cuba and Peru, he can scratch off South America as the third continent he’s toured. Witzmann shows no apprehension over backpacking alone through new countries. Instead, he relishes the adventure and meeting new people. He said there was just one person who spoke English in the village where he stayed in Peru. When visiting Cuba he met a group of people from Europe who he ended up travelling with.
LB Gerald Hodges interested in returning to Vikings | Twincities.com
Could linebacker Gerald Hodges return to the Vikings? The free agent wrote in a text message to the Pioneer Press on Monday he has interest in going back to the team that traded him to San Francisco in October 2015. "Yes," Hodges wrote. "Definitely wouldn’t mind playing for them! Great organization!!"
Former Jaguars Report: Depth players find homes elsewhere, free agency recap | Firstcoastnews.com
- Former Jaguars safety Marqueston Huff signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday. Huff was claimed off waivers by the Jaguars following final cuts last season. He served a one-game suspension and was waived without appearing in a game. The Baltimore Ravens eventually signed him off the Jaguars' practice squad.
NFL mock draft 2017: A rare year for defensive players | SBNation.com
It seems likely the heir apparent to Alex Smith will be added in the draft this year, and why not make it Mahomes? He has more arm talent than any quarterback in the draft this year and could be a fine player with the right coaching.
