Jamaal Charles will visit Seahawks on Wednesday and Thursday of this week

(Update: Well, the Seahawks just signed RB Eddie Lacy so I’m not sure how this affects Jamaal ... )

The Kansas City Chiefs all-time leading rusher will be taking a flight west later this week. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jamaal will visit the Seahawks on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

We haven’t heard a peep out of Jamaal since the Chiefs cut him. We have heard rumors regarding him and the Seahawks. It looks like that “mutual interest” is real as he will be visiting for a couple of days this week as other veteran backs like Adrian Peterson have or will do.

The Seahawks can take a look at a few of these veteran backs, pick the one that is the best and offer a deal that is beneficial to them. If the player declines - which they shouldn’t because the market for veteran backs is hardly there - then they move onto the next one. I don’t think the Seahawks are counting on any of these guys to carry the ball 300 times next season. I would personally like to see him in Seattle. Good team with a shot to be a contender ... in the NFC.
