Laurent Duvernay-Tardif gets 5-year deal, his agent is also Eric Berry’s agent

We’ve been monitoring the Twitter account of Eric Berry’s agent, Chad Speck, to see if is going to announce a new deal for the Kansas City Chiefs safety. It was reported last night that the two sides are working hard on getting a deal done.

While monitoring this, I came across this congratulating LDT on his new contract with the Chiefs, which is apparently now official. It was reported last night as a five-year, $41.25 million extension. Adam Caplan had it at $20 million guaranteed.

Congratulations to Laurent Duvernay Tardif on signing his 5 year extension with the #Chiefs. All of us at @athreeathletics are so proud of you! Your story is awesome and the best is yet to come.

Yes, Berry and LDT share the same agent. And you know who else is repped by Chad Speck? New Chief CJ Spiller ...

While we’re here, this shows how unique LDT is as an NFL player. This is his Instagram post a few days ago ...

Back to work! #medecine #mcgill #nfl #chiefs
