Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs have suspended CB Marcus Peters for one game this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. The move is a surprise because it’s a surprise any time one of your best players gets suspended.
I said before this happened that if the Chiefs were considering suspending Peters, they shouldn’t. Why not? Because the Chiefs are playing a big game against the Raiders with the division on the line. I want them to have one of their best players in Peters. Sorry, I’m here to see the Chiefs win games.
The other side of the argument is compelling. You want Peters to be here for a long time and you don’t want him throwing flags into the stands or punting the football so you suspend him now hoping he gets Big Red’s point and cuts that stuff out.
I get that side too but I just really want the Chiefs to beat the Raiders this Sunday.
Where do you stand? Was it the right move?
